Novelland in 5 Weeks
I've been trying to get myself back into the habit of writing daily. It hasn't been going well (more for lack of desire to do the Thing That Needs Doing First than lack of desire to write). So when Mizkit (I'm so LJ-rusty! I can't remember the easy way to link) announced a writer's challenge to write a book in 5 weeks, it seemed serendipitous. Especially since my attempt to get friends to compete in our semi-annual 90k in three months challenge failed miserably.
I am throwing my hat in.
I am going to flippin' FINISH Project: Atlantis, the story that won't die. Finally. After...er...8 years? Bah!
This is, of course, in addition to my last semester of school, hopefully finding a part-time job, and the joys of being a mommy to a one-year-old. :)
I do not want to be one of those people who talks the talk but never quite manages to finish writing the write. I've let my writing career drive fall near-death by the side of the road. 'Tis time to heal its wounds, bolster its resolve, and fill it full of potiony goodness so that it might rise up and slay the demons!
Now I'm off to work on the Thing That Needs Doing First, under threat of specially-made torture device from the youngest brother.
