Alright. So. I bought a bag of Brown Lentils and tried out a recipe with them.
The recipe itself wasn't the problem, the problem was that although it was a good recipe (tacos!) I didn't really understand how to cook them, they turned out really gritty and more than a little unpalatable.
So, now I have 3/4th a bag of lentils and no idea how to cook them (the package directions did not yield anything remotely tasty) and no idea what to do with them, recipe wise.
Help?
Some necessary details:
I've already looked under the lentils tag, and clearly not everyone tags
because there are only 4 posts there, so more help is needed.
I do not subscribe to Vegetarian magazines, to expensive.
I have limited library access due to Summer.
A question from what I have read:
.Does soaking them really work to help the cooking/eating process?
