I can actually see 5.04 coming to pass, and it terrifies me. I love, love, love angsting Cas, but the HEARTACHE.
He was pretty down in this episode, but I think he'll get better. I liked drunk Castiel, as long as he doesn't become a permanent fixture (like the The End). It's nice to see hints of that character, but I don't think Cas would turn into that unless the world was really gone to hell. But I loved the fact that even though he's depressed over God and drunk off his ass, he STILL shows up to help when Sam calls. And CAS'S VOICEMAIL. I said a week or two ago that I NEEDED to hear this, and then here it is! I felt the worst for him, though, when he said, "I'm an angel of the Lord." He just sounded so tired.
And Dean. Poor Dean, I don't even know where to start on that one.Dean is so close to giving up. :( But Sam, even knowing what dicks the angels are, still has hope that they can fight or at least try, but Dean's not hearing it

I've been comment spamming all over the place already so I probably won't repeat everything. But Dean is breaking my heart so much. *sobs* I know it's a shitty move on his part, just giving up this way, letting Michael take over and leaving the people who care for him out of the loop but that's the state of despair he's in, he just doesn't see any other way out at this point. Especially since he doesn't think Sam cares for him anymore. :'(
Don't even get me started on Cas, loved him so much in this ep, I don't think I've ever laughed so much at whatever he was saying or doing. But oh the heartbreak, dammit. D:
I think the storyline was ok but it didn't quite get to me as other things do; I enjoyed that we got another character from my favorite crackfic of all time the Book of Revelation but I thought the acting was terrible, cliched and overdone at times (esp. the main antagonist's) and I think overall that's what lessened my enjoyment a bit. That and I'd hoped for Michael Shanks' character to
