[Supernatural Drabble] Taint it Red; Dean/Castiel; PG
It’s 5:20 p.m., less than 24 hours since Lucifer’s arrival, when Dean sees Castiel again. The hunter has just enough time to slide off the hood of the Impala and sink to his knees to stop the angel from hitting the gravel. Castiel wobbles in his arms and clings to Dean’s collar, staining it red as blood trickles from his mouth.
“Cas?” Dean’s voice wavers as he grips the angel’s shoulders, forcing their eyes to meet. Castiel despises himself for forcing Dean to witness his doom, but he needs this last moment of selfishness. Needs Dean.
“I came to die.”
