Ok, so it's been quite a while since I hit LJ lol. Well to bring you guys up to speed pretty much I went to MegaCon and it was an enjoyable weekend. I at least got to hang with my friends Ami and Buddah and can say at least ONCE we were at a con together. I was sporting my WWE Spinner Title because it's my con prop for the year and having 10lbs. around your waist can possibly put some strain in the lower back but I managed. I left with more than I thought I would have and spent a few more bucks than I should have but oh well. I do almost anything for a legit happy face lol. My sister was finally exposed to what is called "con going" but I seriously doubt she'd be a reg because of the one thing that annoys most people, "fan funk." Hung out with some Bonzanians and did a lot of walking. All in all, like I said it was enjoyable.
Well, speeding up because from then onto this point which I'm about to talk about wasn't a very eventful timespan lol. Two weeks ago on 3/15 was the elections for the anime club president. Well, I was the only one that ran because I'm the current VP and the longest Rabbat there was since Day 2. So yeah, landslide victory, I'm the new President. Hopefully I can lead this group until I leave and inspire some members to step up this time and do something. But then again, they're otaku. It's hard for some to do something that takes "responsibilty" among other things running in their life. We shall see how that goes in the future. For now, I'll have my Captain's wings at the beginning of Summer.
Speaking of the beginning of Summer, Cons, and leading, my Leadership Panel at Jacon is under review and the person running the panel organization is going to ask me some questions about what I'm going to do and hopefully my answers won't deter or terminate my panel at the last minute. Why a leadership panel at an anime convention? Ever since I was eleceted as VP I took the position seriously because we, as a club, have went through 3 VPs that didn't do shit. I didn't want to be one of them so I stepped up and took charge of something and was successful. Since then I've heard about organizations buckling because their leaders weren't adequate enough to do anything about the situation in their position. That gets under my skin >:( . So I want the anime community to leave with some basic knowledge or fundamentals of leadership so maybe they could look into it a bit more, step up, and improve their club. Since it's dealing with the anime community hopefully it does go through because I am serious about this subject. So once I get the green light I have to go back to my old unit in my old high school to borrow some text books to brush up for my presentation lmao! I know and remember some facts but it's not enough to gab for 30mins lol. The other 30 in the hour is for workshop purposes to ask the audience to participate in scenarios but let the individual dealing with it think for themselves because in the end someone has to make a call. Ok, that's about it. Cya round. Time to catch up with everyone >,
