It's probably not a good sign that when I have a choice between painting miniatures and doing medical coding homework, I choose homework. Painting really feels like a chore now, not a pleasure like it used to be.

This is not everything I've read this year, but rather the more memorable books (for good or ill). It also doesn't include manga or graphic novels, which I may cover in a separate post.

Saw a bobcat yesterday, at 9:30 AM. It was at the trail head near the nature center, and it crossed directly in front of me and vanished into the underbrush. It was surprising to see it at that hour, and so close to a building and human ( Read more... )
