united states road trips master list

PROJECT TIME!!!!!

if you know of any places to get vegan food near any major road (i'm talkin' interstate/turnpike exits etc.) respond here. of course a 5 minute trek out of the way is ideal, but of course in certain areas, 15 minutes would have to be acceptable.

i'm gonna respond to my post with state names. hold off until i respond with your particular state, and then respond to that sub-thread, so we can keep each particular state's responses together. (should i make sub-sub threads with the road's name to keep it all together like that as well? that seems like a daunting task... but maybe that'll be better. (however, what happens with a place that's at an intersection of a highway. maybe it should be posted in each subthread. yeah. that sounds like the best plan. oh this is exciting!) *edit* bah! just writing out the states was annoying. just respond directly to the state's subthread. (or if you want to make a road subthread to then respond to, go ahead and do that. i'll make subthreads for PA right now. i'll also remove e-mailing of responses. :-) for now. hahaha.)

if you can give the info to me in a particular order, that'll make this project most useful.

so, i'll need (in the following order, posted underneath a road subthread):

--name of establishment
--**miles and/or minutes away from the exit off the road if the road has exits** (i think that info will be key in the usefulness of this list. if the road isn't humongous, like route 66 in some areas for example, and the establishment is right on it, say "on road") if you want to also give tips on which direction to head in, you can do that here, but it's not required.
--(sit-down restaurant/take-out/grab 'n' go/convenience/grocery store with prepared foods/grocery store without prepared foods, but with a suitable vegan foods section/natural foods store/natural foods store with prepared foods/etc.) *can mention sit-down and take-out if it offers both.
--address
--phone number
--if you have recommendations of what to eat here, go at it.

i think that's all the information i need. i'll edit this post later with links to each state to make it easier for you to respond.

with everyone's help, we can make this project beautiful!!!!!!!!

(if only there was a website with this kind of information. maybe i'll ask my husband if he can whip up a quick and dirty website. we'll see. for now, it'll be here.)

::edit::
don't use this entry any more.
i made a website. i'll make another post when the site is up and running. ::excited::
