Well you can interpret that comment however you want, but it was not my intention to "be nasty". I said what I did because it is frustrating for me when people search medical sites for information, only to find things that might be concern them. You say you aren't concerned or worried, and yet you went and Googled information about your blood work. Clearly there is some kind of curiosity or concern there, and you should consult a doctor first. (Which is sounds like you plan on doing now, which is great!) Relying just on the internet to make diagnoses is foolish and possibly dangerous. (I'm not saying that is what you personally are doing, but I'm just trying to add further explanation to my short comment, and why I am concerned about people who self diagnose or speculate.)

To be fair, what you actually mentioned in the original post was "I don't have a regular doctor, but when I have my yearly I'll see if I can sneak in a conversation on my results." Sneaking in a question during a yearly exam and having intentions of discussing this with a doctor sound different to me.

I'm glad that you are going to talk to your doctor. That was my only concern. I hope everything works out!

I'm pretty stubborn-- what I really meant is I will shove these lab reports in front of that doctor and stomp around till they take a look.

Doctors are busy-- squeakiest wheel gets the grease. I should know as I work in a hospital.
