please note: This book contains clinical descriptions of factory farming conditions, and some pictures. It may be difficult reading for anyone who is sensitive to such things.

a book detailing the history , rise, and spread of novel influenza and the risk of pandemic... is not written about veganism. its not even really written about food production. but no discussion of how avian influenza and other illnesses cross into the human population can avoid talking about it.
the chapters about factory farming, animal crowding, mass feeding of anti biotics. the newer mass feeding of *anti virals* to poultry in China, and etc are enough to convince almost any omni that meat , dairy, and eggs (at least from any conventional farm) are sewage.
