I just got a soy chai latte with a shot of espresso in it from the local coffeeshop. Usually they write on the cup and on the receipt that it's made with soymilk (and what the drink order is), but this time they didn't write anything on the side and they didn't give me a receipt. They initially said it was a "dirty soy chai", but I'm not sure it's the espresso that's making it taste funny or what.
Anyway, my question is, have you ever gotten a drink made with cow's milk accidentally? If so, could you tell instantly? Usually I just get chai or a latte, not the two together, but I needed the extra boost today and it tastes a little weird and it's making my stomach gurgle, though I don't know if that's my mind doing it or what. I've been vegan for well over two years and I don't remember what milk tastes like. I'm usually really good about watching them make it, but I was distracted this time and *blah blah blah excuses excuses*
I'm tempted to just throw it out, but I'm curious in case this happens again.
