Hi all,
I'm moving to Prague in August and was wondering if anyone has any experiences they care to share about being vegan in the Czech Republic? I'm having trouble finding much about how vegan-friendly Prague is besides a list of some restaurants on Happy Cow and lots of stuff for tourists, which is only sort of useful. Someone should start a Vegan Eastern Europe LJ group! Anyway, I'm mostly looking for every day kind of advice. Is soymilk easy to come by in coffee shops, does vital wheat gluten exist there, what American goods should I smuggle in my luggage? Most importantly, where can I get nutritional yeast?! I know a bit of Czech, but I'm afraid I'm going to starve when I first get there. Trying to prepare myself as best I can!
Even better, anyone vegan and living in Prague now? If so, we should be friends. And maybe have lots of awesome potlucks once I get there.
