I'm visiting Toronto soon, and am pretty sure I'll want to get pizza delivered to my hotel room while i lounge and take advantage of their pay-per-view movie selection. I'll be staying near the financial district (i think?) near the intersection of University and Queen. At any rate, I saw that Pizzaiolo is nearby, delivers, AND has vegan pizza.  Is ( Read more... )

you are probably right -- as much as i love greenavi, most of their pastries are not baked on premises (something i forgot to mention) but from other bakeries around toronto. i just mentioned because i love the place/i live in the area so i go a there a lot. plus i love the idea of an all organic/fair trade coffee shop so i try to plug the place as much as possible because i really want it to thrive~

oh, and i definitely meant to mention both those kensington places! seriously, in general kensington is a great place to visit (besides tasty vegan food, it has some great vintage shops). so, seconded on those.

urban herbivore is the greatest.
my absolutely favourite meal is one of their fantastic sammiches (sesame tempeh, chimichurri gluten, celery root, roasted vegetable, or bbq tofu) and a bowl of their daily soup (i've had celery root, sweet potato, and curried lentil).
and their muffins are epic (sweet potato and date is a deliciously interesting combination).
