Vegans on the West Coast

I am thinking about moving out to the west coast. I've always lived in the east, and want a new experience. I've never even visited out there! I was wondering if anyone could tell me some of the better cities for vegans, keeping cost of living in mind, of course. I'm thinking anywhere from Washington to SoCal.
