Vinegars, rice vinegars specifically

I was wondering if anyone can tell me how rice vinegars are made? Because I know that gelatin is used to some extent to purify some vinegars, but I was wondering if anyone knew whether that was the case with rice vinegars as well? The reason I ask, of course, is that it's commonly used in sushi, and I rather like veg*n sushi, but I thought of this

It's not all of them. I know of one brand here in Sweden that isn't purified with gelatin, but that's regular vinegar, and I haven't found anything on rice vinegars.

tons of googling, ask.com ing, and others says no gelatin is not used to purify. honestly though; i always use mirin for cooking and rice vinegar for sauces. i think it's vegan.
