I'm looking to do a bit of pay-it-forwarding.
I want to give a modest gift of money to a particular person online, as she is in the sort of difficult position I've been in recently, but now I'm in a (relatively) more comfortable position. I thought a good way to do it is to buy her a gift card or store credit or something like that to a store that sells food and groceries.
She's in America and I'm in Australia. I'm not sure if she's vegan or vegetarian, but she's at least veg*n-sympathetic, because she linked to
this website and labelled it "Green/vegan products".
I'm guessing I can't get her a gift card to somewhere like Whole Foods because I don't know if she has one nearby (don't want to ask her, I want it to be a surprise). So I thought, somewhere like Pangea? Are there any other vegan-friendly online stores I should consider? Do you know any that have gift cards or similar? Or, is there a grocery store that isn't morally abominable but that is found just about everywhere?
Update: I know of Pangea, Vegan Essentials and Food Fight!, and so far I can see that all three do gift certificates. Any comments on experiences?
