How many food network addicts do we have out there?
I find so many great vegan or veganizable things that get me out of my safe staples rut...on Barefoot Contessa she made a salad with boiled and blanched corn sawed off the cob with basil, red onion, apple cider vinegar, olive oil and salt and pepper. I was completely hooked.
Too bad the next part was hamburgers--I am not making this up: with her hands she mixed two kinds of ground beef with six egg yolks, and then shaped them into balls... pressed a hole, inserted a pat of butter and carefully patted them down. o_O But it's like vegan version of train wreck syndrome. I can't take my eyes off it! My love will never waver, but I keep wondering when there will be more variety... culture-wise, at the least.
