Another suggestion may be to figure out how many vegans will need to be provided for and work around that. Like if there are only handful of vegans then really make up a lovely meal for as many as you need and buffett the other guests maybe?
When my husband and I were married we had a small wedding (40-50 guests) and I was the only vegan there so I had a meal made especially for me and everyone else did buffet. I did have vegan cupcakes and no one was the wiser lol. I've made quite a few vegan cakes and they are quite lovely. I made a 4 tier for a friend's wedding last year and it was quite easy and everyone loved it. If you really want to do it I would say figure out your menu early and see if it's doable instead of figuring out last minute it won't work. Plus with everything else you'll have going on as a bride it may be more manageable if you had catering.

Well, although I appreciate the idea you're providing, and I'm not saying this to pass judgment on you in any way, some vegans may not want to provide meat or dairy products because they don't feel it goes with their moral choices. e.g. if someone comes to my house, I feed them a vegan meal - I don't feed them meat and make something vegan for me.

If you're expecting them to spend money on you and bring you gifts, I would serve them what they eat, not what you eat.

Funny, I've never seen any of the couples at the omni weddings I've attended take this into account.

tell me about it.
last wedding i was at, they even HAD to put cheese in the salad. really? the ONE thing i could eat here, you decided you didn't have ENOUGH meat and cheese dishes and even straight up lettuce and cucumbers aren't good enough without cheese?

Weddings can be rough. I actually went to a wedding of some of my husband's friends (I knew them, and hung out with them a little in college, but they were really his friends, not mine, and I wouldn't say that we are close at all) and they actually had a special vegan thing for me! I was really impressed.

And that's where we disagree.

Yeah, there was no way I was serving meat at my wedding. I had non-vegan but vegetarian options, but I can't think of any reason why I'd buy meat for other people!

i think it would be me and another friend who are the only vegans but its more about providing vegan or vegetarian if i HAVE to compromise food for EVERYONE.

how did you make a 4 tier wedding cake!? because i want to do my own cake too but it seems daunting. and do you happen to have pictures?
