i've been continuing to use regular cane sugar for baking because i can't afford to pay $4 for a lb of vegan sugar, but i was at the health food store last night and i saw fructose in the bulk section. it says to use as a sub for sugar, but i looked a bit online and it says that it shouldn't be subbed in baking.
it's only $1/lb so it's a good price too.
does anyone know about how to use fructose? or can recomend a cheaper sugar alternative?
thanks :)
