Announcement & Rules II

Hello everyone!

Thanks!
I know I've been missing in action for the past couple of weeks. This is because school decided to kick my butt and assign a million projects at once. I have read all of the comments that everyone's been making. First, I want to thank everyone for supporting me and this project. I'm amazed at the number of people who have joined this community, but I'm even more amazed at the number of people who have downloaded from my mediafire link. The number of downloads for episode 6 has just hit 625, about double the amount of people that have downloaded previous episodes. For that, thank you very much!

My response to the comments.
Also, whilst reading the comments, I did stumble across the one where some tensions were strung high. An anonymous comment was left asking about the next episodes and when subs would come out for them, and many people responded. Honestly speaking, I get irritated with people DEMANDING for subtitles. I don't mind requests, in fact, I welcome them, however if many people are already asking the same question, then please refrain from doing the same. It was when whoever the anonymous person responded that I started to get angry, saying that I HAVE to finish this project no matter what etc etc.

Additionally, I'd like to applaud and personally thank everyone who responded to those comments politely and logically. I appreciate your support; and to be honest I definitely would not have been able to reply so calmly. I was about to explode when I read it the first time.
Please do not insult me because I have not put the subs out "on time". Firstly, I never stated any type of time frame for these subs. Secondly, if you "are going to make the subs yourself", then that would mean that you understand the subs, which in turn would mean that you don't need subs, so what are you waiting for subs for in the first place? I honestly don't care if you go start your own sub project. Please, be my guest. Just don't slander me in the process.

Why did it take so long?
There's no way you all would have known this, but I am currently a Junior at Mira Loma High School, and I am in a program called International Baccalaureate. This is like AP, except more on the analyzing side than fast-paced just knowing the facts. Furthermore, the fact that I am currently a Junior means that this is basically the most important year for me. That in turn means that school is always my first priority. Apart from that, I am the president of my break dance club at school, so it's not as if this the only thing I have to do right now. Anyways, the point is that by being in this program, I get a lot of homework and random projects, and mostly all at once. As if that's not enough, I am one person doing these subs, and although I have a script, I usually watch the episode first (raw) not only to test my listening, but also so I know what's going on. This time, I literally wasn't able to watch the episode until two weeks after its release (today). Also, I retime the subs because I'm OCD and I also feel like off subs also takes away from the meaning/mood of the drama, which I do not find fair to all of you as viewers. One episode will take probably 7 hours at least. One hour to watch it, probably 4-5 hours to do the actual translation and culture notes. Another hour to quality check it, maybe more.

New Rules, effective as of today, Sunday, December 13, 2009.
I admit, I was naive starting this project because I did not realize how big of a thing it really is to start your own drama project -- especially by yourself. So, I'm going to add to the rules some that I forgot about.

1) If you don't know how to use soft subs, please google it first before asking. (:
2) Please refrain from asking when the next subs will be released. I am doing my best.
3) Please do not get this confused with homework; this is not my first priority, though there are many times where I will do this and do homework later on. But this will not always be the case. I do not HAVE to do this...

After thinking about it, although it was suggested to me that I stall the release of my subs, I've decided that this would be unfair to everyone of my other followers who are waiting patiently and kindly. So, these subs are late, but that is because I haven't had time, I'm not holding back on you guys. Also, as one did guess, I do live in America, which means that I did have Thanksgiving with my family. Which cut me back a week on time, especially since break = OMG YOU HAVE MORE TIME TO DO HOMEWORK AND PROJECTS! YAYY to my teachers.

Thank you for your time. (:
