Odin #11 - E.Body #6 and other stuff
Our 11th Odin came about quicker than our 10th, as we didn't have much trouble at all getting Wing 3 clear this time ... however, I thought we might be a bit light on numbers. It turned out that we had 23 people plus a mule and had no problem with the kill. And holy crap ... good drops again!
Oh snap, who got that E.Body?!
Yup, after 97 Einherjars, I finally got an item. I would have preferred N.Legs more, but they are never going to drop (1/15 chance on Odin, probably less on regular chambers) so I lotted our 6th E.Body, woot! Waz got his first Einherjar drop and Clannagh got his first drop since our very first Odin, completing his Valhalla set. I was really pleased to NOT see a Valkyrie's Fork this time... since believe it or not, we've got plenty of them. >.> Though truth be told, any of those Odin specific weapons/armors will have interested members for lotting them.
I doubt that we get another Odin in before the end of the year, so we end 2009 with a total of 11 Odins, 6 E.Bodies, 2 A.Bodies, 5 V.Forks, 2 V.Breastplates, 3 V.Helms, and 1 N.Head. We've had other drops too, but all of lesser status than those. I think anyway you slice it, there's not much to complain about with that assortment of items above.
Other Stuff:
- Since my last entry, there's not been much to note aside from the completion of an Ultima popset which we plan to do this week as well as 2 completed Kirin popsets after one of our now rare trips to farm Sky.
- We also did 3 Bahamut v2s, but failed the last one as we ran out of CORs to 2hr us and had some inconsistent Chainspell Stunning that ended up wiping the alliance. I don't mind terribly much when we wipe to Bv2, it's happened twice ... because we're still testing our limits a bit. I think now we know who our reliable stunners are and that we at least need our DRKs to have 2 hours ready to make our Bv2s as close to failsafe as possible. At least we got another Mask and enough gil to cover the cost of a couple of Orbs... but no Cashmere Cloths, so that sucked. Next time out, I'll be pretty pissed if we wipe due to player error though... we've done these enough now to know what to do.
- The only other thing to note is that I'll probably be (slowly) leveling my WAR beginning now and going on until 2010. It makes sense due to the fact that I'm missing very little gear for an end-game caliber WAR. It's level 41 now and some other LS folks are randomly leveling other jobs so I hope to be able to get it moving quickly. The best thing about WAR is that I probably don't need to lot any AF2 for it besides the belt, since I already have Ares's Flanchard and the rest of the AF2 sucks.
