Recently (read: within the past three months), I was talking with several friends about my time in the hospital in Michigan and about some of my experiences there. I was on my way back from getting some lunch just a bit ago when I, apropos of nothing, started thinking about how I'm gaining on 30 much faster than I'd like to and that the youth I was supposed to have wasted on having fun got wasted instead on being ill. I'm in a bit of a funk today. Said funk could have one of many causes:

• The DSL continues to not work reliably, despite numerous calls to AT&T. If I felt better, we'd have switched to Time Warner for cable Internet long ago.

I got my car back yesterday after having the oil changed and some other work done. My neighbor works for a dealership in another town, but they have a deal worked out where one of the service guys makes regular trips down here to pick up cars for people.
