And we had a really nice funeral for him today. One of the nurses who took care of him has two sons who can sing & play the piano really well and they used to come and sing for him every once in a while. They sang "Amazing Grace," one of Uncle Harold's favorites. Plus, I got to see a bunch of people I hadn't seen since before my shoes had laces.
My grandfather's pretty upset that he couldn't have gone down to see him one more time, but he can't really walk that far any more and my grandmother's back is messed up so that she can't ride in a car for three solid hours like she used to. They did make it to the funeral home before the burial, though, and I know he was glad of that.
