Seattle does get humid - not humid like The South, but humid. And they're just not used to it. Seriously, when I lived there it was HELL whem in got above 80. And I was originally from So Cal. Weird.

Enjoy Texas. American had better be paying for your hotel!! And it had better be nice!

It was above 80 the whole time it was there, and while it was warm, I wouldn't call it "hot." Especially since I wasn't struggling to keep sweat from falling into my eyes the whole time.

That "nice" hotel? Turned out to be right on the interstate, with outward-facing doors (no internal hallway) and mediocre amenities. Nowhere near as nice as the Baymont I stayed at in Ann Arbor.
