Seattle does get humid - not humid like The South, but humid. And they're just not used to it. Seriously, when I lived there it was HELL whem in got above 80. And I was originally from So Cal. Weird.
Enjoy Texas. American had better be paying for your hotel!! And it had better be nice!
It was above 80 the whole time it was there, and while it was warm, I wouldn't call it "hot." Especially since I wasn't struggling to keep sweat from falling into my eyes the whole time.
That "nice" hotel? Turned out to be right on the interstate, with outward-facing doors (no internal hallway) and mediocre amenities. Nowhere near as nice as the Baymont I stayed at in Ann Arbor.
I'll answer the second question first: Not as much as I would have liked. We only had about a day there, and we squeezed in as much as we could
( ... )
If I lived in Seattle, I would be a member of that museum so I could go see all the cool exhibits in both. EMP had one on Latin American music in the States, and I didn't know this but Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs (they did "Wooly Bully") were Mexican. And Linda Rondstadt has some Mexican ancestry, too. Plus, they used Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass as an example of pachuco music.
