Okay, we all know how much drama I've dealt with in the past. Ironic that I would take the time to jump head first into more, right? As Caleb said, it's not my relationship to interfere. However, I would like to give some insight from a close-friend-who-was-always-there type of perspective and leave it at that. Responses may be sent to lyquidlyric@zworg.com if needed. I love Eric (Eric, you know that). He's been one of my closest friends for quite some time. Although, having spoken with Beth more than just about anyone (long before Lafe entered into the picture), I can honestly say that the relationship in question was not the most secure in the world. There is no need for outside banter or name calling from anyone. You are all adults. A question was posed. An answer followed. There was and is no need for outside commentary from someone looking to turn conversation into a bar-room brawl (regardless of whether that person believes himself to be taking up for someone else). I felt the response to be quite sufficient. If Eric wanted to respond, I know he is more than capable and doesn't need anyone to "have his back". And as for the comment, "let's not start a pissing war on Eric's LJ..", wasn't that what you were trying to accomplish by posting such a demeaning, egocentric, and all out nonsensical response to an issue that does not even involve you? I can appreciate your friendship with Eric, but he's a big boy and doesn't need anyone else to fight his battles. And please understand, there is no battle here to be fought.
Eric, you know I'll always be there for you. I know where Beth's heart lies. You know Beth would never hurt you out of spite. Neither she nor Lafe are out to get you, I promise. I can understand your being upset about not being with her anymore. If you ever need to talk, I'm always here. I love you both.
