Just a rough little something to get this scene out of my head. And what is it with me and the unpopular canon pairings? I'm hoping to find more Viktor/Hermione in OotP, too.

No beta, so it may make sense only to me, but here's a Sark/Allison snippet.

DAMN YOU VANZETTI! You have sucked me in to yet ANOTHER fandom in which I know nothing about anyone, and I fall in love with them anyway!

This was a kick, from start to finish. This one line really intrigues me the most:

He suspects that her presence in his life is the result of a wager she made with herself, although he's never learned the terms of the bet.

Yeah, now I wanna know who these people are. DAMN YOU!

Thanks! I'm really thrilled that you like it, and also pretty pleased that I'm sucking you in to the fandom. (And the answer, at least in Allison's case, is "a very minor character indeed." I wanted to know who she was, too, so here we are.)

P.S. I'm catching up on G-EMs posts today, and I meant to tell you I'm sorry I dropped the ball on the 24/XF crossover story. I was planning on sending some comments and BOOM! you posted a final version. 'Twas very good, and now it's in my to-be-feedbacked folder. :)

Heehee! Well, the nurse did say yesterday I should be very careful and not make a lot of quick, twisting moves with my back. So if I do re-injure myself, I know who to blame now! ;-)

But Alias people are very friendly (even if the characters are a little twisted). And remember, the more you fight against the suction, the more likely you are to get hurt. Just give in, and everything will be much simpler.

I didn't really expect you to comment on the Krycek and Nina piece, since I think you were on some serious medication right around then, but thanks for thinking of it! More Viktor/Hermione will depend on my reading the new book. Which will happen, eventually.
