Dean would just irritate Frank, and an irritable Frank is no fun at all.
And he might, um, distract Tim. Just sayin'. Because, yes, he *was* looking very hot tonight, especially in the insurance-guy scene. Was it the lighting? How can Jensen get prettier?
And then Frank would be irritated with Tim, too, and that always makes me sad. Because yes, just when you think that Jensen can't actually get cuter, he does. How does that happen?
I was too shocked to absorb the preview, really, I have this vague image of Dean and the crossroads and then a mention of John and...I can't. take. it.
Once I saw the crossroads, and realized what Dean was trying to do -- I mean, there needs to be a limit, one deal with the devil per family and that's it.
Daddy is not just moldering in his grave. He's salted and burned to char. Which doesn't exactly leave him anyplace to come back to.
I have to admit that this seems to me the least of the problems with Dean's plan. He might as well just be standing out on that crossroads with a sign on his back saying "kick me."
But really, Dean ought to hang a sign on the car that says, "Bad choices R Us."
Ha! And in this case he's clearly channeling one of John's catastrophically idiotic plans. Because really, what does he think is going to happen.
And in one of those cases, the person making the choice and dying was his father, whom he loved more than life and, until that very moment, probably did not realize the extent to which that love was reciprocated.
One fo the things I like about Dean as a character (and about the way the relationships on the show are set up) is that the knowledge that his father literally loved him more than life itself does not make it all better for him. Because really, the proof of John's love isn't enough for him.
Mygoodness yes, this was fun. Solid, solid SPN. Sam and Dean.
Dean, don't do that. No, Dean, don't even try. Don't you do that." That's literally all I said, for the entire length of the preview. Because nothing good will come of that.
