Rory is lovely. We've not had a male character like him in Doctor Who since Fitz Kreiner. Who is a book-only guy. So hardly anyone knows his awesomeness.
Yeah, I've not read any of the tie-ins so I've not met him. It's just nice to have a fairly down-to-earth and devoted male character. I suppose there was Mickey, but he was just played as an idiot most of the time.
(As for the fake bit, I really should have guessed - they had a photo on the One Show last week and all it showed was the Doctor, the Tardis and some snow. :P)
I thought the date might have had something to do with it being an early release - 4 month count down. A teaser every month for the next three didn't seem too far-fetched.
Mickey was played as comic relief / comic book hero far too often. Rory can go that way too easily as well - hopefully the writers don't make that same mistake.
... yeah that kinda does kill any sense of evil!snow. Although, I actually don't know the plot. I have no idea why I've grabbed hold of evil snow as the plot. If it isn't, I feel another fic coming on...

I'll be at Metropolis this evening. For tomorrow with Outcast - what time do you finish work? Did you want to meet straight afterwards for food, or meet us at the cinema instead?

I can probably finish for about 5.30 if I make an effort to get up early! (Or rather, get up early and not mess about on my laptop.) I think food might be a good idea, did you have anywhere in particular in mind? It takes me 10-15 mins tops to walk down to Leicester Square.
