Wing fic in my music vids? More likely than you'd think!
Bits of the day:
1.
The Japanese class I do? Yeah, the instructor is pretty good at developing interest-led lessons - which is probably why the class seems to be turning into Dating 101 - today's lesson was asking for, and the dialogue associated with, giving out your phone number! Yesterday? Do you have a girlfriend/boyfriend! We've already gone through hobbies and interests.
Also kicked off my smart.fm hiragana sessions today.
2.
Made the maple, pumpkin and blue cheese pizzas tonight - maple syrup is EXPENSIVE. Over 5 pounds for a bottle. That's nuts. Well, it's trees, but it's loco.
3.
Started reducing my Spain pics to web size. And finally started using the webspace that irreparable gifted me with. I am ftp-ing through DOS command line prompts. I feel so hardcore geek.
4.
PLB was doing his usual exercises while I whaled on the couch this evening. So I provided the music track - some of which came from the 'recommend' function on you tube. Um, what part of me says the Benny Hill end credit song is appropriate? Anyway, that's what he got:
Benny Hill - I can't believe this was 1987.
But he also got:
RevoLucian - I hit him with this because he had no hope in hell of thinking I'd select this on him.
The Horrors - a Tube o' Yoo rec.
Ipso Facto - my choice.
Bat for Lashes - my choice.
He also thought he was about to get inundated with J-pop. So I had to provide at least one.
Asian Kung-Fu Generation - I'd not seen the actual music vid before. Ignore the glasses, and the dorky boys in suits that I want to squish, IT'S TOTALLY WING FIC. OH, I LAUGHED!
You may remember my giggle fest about Azerbaidjan's Eurovision 2008 entry (which clip, by the way, now is totally subsumed by Sebastian/Ash from Kuroshitsuji). I'm not sure if AKFG's 'After Dark' beats it or not. Still. I don't think either have anything on this. I can't believe that was done in all seriousness.

Robin Hood - can we say 'dark reboot'? Yes we can! There were groan moments, but not cringe moments.
