checking in

To all of my wonderful friends,

If I've been eerily quiet and unavailable the past few weeks, do not fret. I am not avoiding you, I haven't dropped off the face of the earth, I still love you all and think about you and care about you.

School is merely stealing nearly every single waking second I can currently muster up. Between that and a nasty cold this past week, I've been quite busy fulfilling either academic obligations or bodily obligations, like napping and eating well and sleeping.

Example? Well as I've said before, I'm taking Entirely Too Many Credits, on the menu this week is/has been: 2 quizzes for Phonology alone, one chapter test for German, one 4-page long Structure of French homework assignment, one 7-page long Phonology 1 homework assignment (handwritten), along with written studying for German 3 times a week and having exercises due 3 times per week (which I'll admit, are easy and I often do while entirely too distracted but still get good grades on anyway), and whatever reading my profs decide to throw on top of that. Oh yeah, and then there's Wind Ensemble Monday and Wednesday evenings. Thank god I have Hervé for French Phonetics, who hardly ever hands out homework. He's been a blessing this quarter.

Needless to say, I'm ridiculously busy. I'm really glad now that I didn't get that job whose interview I bombed. Probably the best thing that's happened to me in a while, actually.

So don't feel neglected everybody! The only people who get to see me these days are my roomies, when I'm not locked in my room scribbling away weird Phonology or German stuff, and people in my classes. And I try to hop on aim whenever possible.

Luckily once Wednesdays are over with, the week definitely chills out a lot, because the majority of my stuff is due the first half of the week.

I'm hoping I can be well enough this weekend to pop my head out of my little hole that is this house and hang out downtown. I've been told that there is stuff to do down there that isn't school-related! Oh, how it sounds too good to be true.
