Selphie Cuddles With The Chocobos

Basically, this post exists because Selphie has promised half of Vatheon that she'll show off the chocobos, and introduce people to the gorgeous birds that they may or may not know from their world.

[...Yukari will walk into the barn because she hears the singing. She doesn't really think anything of it at first, but she will stop and stare when she sees Selphie surrounded by the birds.

...She...doesn't wanna interrupt her, soooo she will just continue staring. At least for a while...]

*Selphie's song comes to a natural end, and the chocobo she was grooming looks up at her and nuzzles into her arm. Selphie laughs and kisses the bird on its beak, and when she looks up she sees Yukari and waves*

[Yukari waves back, approaching her. She can't help but smile, seeing the chocobo nuzzle her like that.]

Hey, Selphie. [chuckle] Friends of yours?

*Selphie smiles as the birds go about their business, and she hangs the brush on its hook before going over to Yukari*

Uh huh! They're from home!

They look like...

[--tilting her head, hoping she doesn't take this the wrong way or anything--]

...giant birds.

*Selphie just laughs and then whistles, and a couple of the more curious creatures stalk over*

That's because they are giant birds!

Well, then. That makes sense. Laughing a little, she reaches out to touch one of them when they walk over, curious as well...]

I've never seen them before. Don't tell me they followed you all the way here?

[She knows animals are capable of being brought to Vatheon...Koromaru was here for a time. But still...]

*Selphie giggled, so at home with her birds. After all, she spent a lot of time with them, and lately more than usual*

Nah! That would be weird. I was in Vatheon a while before these guys just showed up one day!

[Haha.

Well, okay. She laughs too, stroking the one's fur when it doesn't seem to bite or mind it. Weirder things have shown up in Vatheon, she supposes.]

They seem pretty friendly...

They are! I make sure they grow up nice and happy. They don't have any reason to be sad.

*So Selphie hopes. There's some kind of maternal love going out to those birds*

[...Well. She doesn't really any see a reason not to, yet, so. She's hoping they won't give her one.]

Do they have names?

Some of them do! I didn't name them all though, in case some people wanted to give the others names.

*Selphie smiled, and began to point out several of the chocobos: a Squall, Rinoa, Zell, Quistis, Irvine, Cid, Edea, Seifer, Laguna*

Ohhh...I see. That's pretty nice of you.

[Yukari giggles a bit, wondering if she should name one of her own. This one's taken a liking to her, it seems, so she continues to pet him.

Or her. She doesn't really know yet.]

*Selphie doesn't think it was nice of her. It was just fair, but she smiles all the same. Then she takes a look at Yukari and the bird beside her*

You wanna name her?

She looks thoughtful at the idea, though now that she has the option, she really isn't sure what name to give.]

[She considers the other names Selphie mentioned, though they don't really stick in her mind very well. Strange names they are...sp maybe she'll go with something a little more normal.

She looks at her fur for a moment, noting her fur and how brightly it stands out, and...]
