All told, Superboy was handling his temporary absence from Vatheon fairly well...granted, he wasn't particularly appreciative of gaining a whole new batch of memories with people who weren't here just so he could miss them even more, but it wasn't like he could do anything about it. Save for one particular memory. Only after his return did he recognize one of the new names on the resident list in his SFC: Cameron Mahkent, alias Icicle Junior. Somebody he knew was a villain, but at the same time, felt somewhat awkward about betraying (so shoot him, he's lousy at undercover work). Still, at the very least, he told himself he was obligated to at least check in on the guy. For safety's sake, of course. As a recent addition to the Security Force, Superboy had a little added incentive to make sure there was as little trouble as possible in Vatheon.
Not that any of this made him feel any more comfortable showing up at the guy's front door. Pendilium Apartments, floor four, room six...looking him up had been a lot easier than actually being there, staring at the numbers on the door. And maybe if a certain Kryptonian had bothered to help him figure out his powers, he might have had X-ray vision by now. But instead, he's just gotta knock at the door to see if Junior was home. On the plus side, at least he wasn't nervous enough to put his fist through the door...though it was pretty unlikely Junior'd be able to ignore the loud knocking all the same.
