It'd been a few days now since Yukari's birthday had passed on the nineteenth, and thanks to the kraken, she'd had to delay her plans

[Yukari probably had no way of knowing exactly how many anxiety attacks she gave Simon with that invitation. One, he'd never been to a party. Any type of party. At all. He'd never even had a birthday party of his own for crying out loud. Two, he'd never been invited to one, let alone by a complete stranger. Three, well, he hadn't even been here two days yet. And because he wasn't familiar with technology to the point that he knew it was possible to send a blanket invite to everyone on the comm network, well, he just felt like this Yukari person was being extremely friendly and ohgodWHATDO?!

Eventually he decided to throw caution to the wind and go to this "birthday party" he'd been invited to, despite the very loud, very persuasive voice in the back of his head practically shrieking not to go because it would end badly. Because although people here certainly seemed to be a bit...different than the usual individuals in Gotham, so far the general unease and dude-you-look-like-a-slasher-villain anxiety was still common enough. Hopefully he wouldn't give the poor girl a heart attack, especially since he seemed to be one of the first to arrive. And still wearing that raggedy jacket, scavenged clothes and gloves, worn out boots, and that unsettling patchwork mask...

He'll just go ahead and assume Yukari's the person who invited him. What with her looking to be the only person here so far and all.]

"...excuse me..."

[Then again, Simon never was one ready to go making assumptions these days. Not after the last one turned out to be horribly, horribly wrong.]

[He thinks she gave him heart attacks? She's just about read to have one herself, with him suddenly sneaking up on her like that. But then again, she was so absorbed in the scenery, there's...pretty much no greeting that would've avoided that kind of reaction.

...She kind of realizes this, so she takes a few deep breaths and tries to calm down, studying him.

H-Hello. Um, no, you're fine, I...I was just going to clean up a bit before people start coming.

[...She wishes she had the other SEES members with her at the moment, but. Welp. She's just going to have to take care of herself.]
