Riku never really was one to sit still, really, so being on patrols to make sure there weren't any problems developing always helped to calm himself.

At least, until today.

Being told by Demyx that this particular Nobody returned to the city and running across the scent in midst of light knows how many for himself were two different things entirely. His eyes narrow under the hood as he walked closer, meaning to pass him by as he continued and yet he just couldn't help himself. Who knew what he recalled?

"Look what the coral dragged in," he muttered under his breath, just barely audible. Although, the coat probably caught his attention before the voice behind it.

The coat indeed catch his attention before the voice and he paused, turning to watch the other a second before replying. "If you have something to say, I'd prefer you said it instead of making snide remarks."

He had a vague idea of just whom it might belong to, but how he got one of those coats he doesn't know unless perhaps he'd actually succeeded in his plan to draw the boy in.

An eyebrow raised in query, and he lowers the hood to at least make it so he wouldn't be getting a call from the Replica asking if he was still here. The danger is in the unknown, just like the state of his eyes which are narrowed and hidden. Otherwise, his face is completely unreadable.

"What is there to say to another who lurks in the shadows?" Testing the waters, keeping the walls up. He'd rather avoid the members from Castle Oblivion, but no doubt he probably wouldn't get the chance to just yet.

Well, it would appear his guess as to the identity of the person was correct. Though there was the mystery of the coat and the blindfold still. "An actual greeting perhaps? Might I ask just where you got the coat?"

That earned a faint, and very brief smirk. He was raised on a small island with Tidus and Wakka of all people and others from the same set of worlds still expected him to give proper greetings? It was almost like getting scolded by the school teachers all over again. The only difference being there wasn't much of an age gap between him and the Nobody, adding on years as a Somebody.

"That secret stays with me." No matter how they would slice it, he received it well after Zexion's scent faded from the Castle-at least in the sense of his existence. "It's been a while, Zexion."

Really, just what was the problem people had with giving a simple hello or some other such greeting. There was something about the boy which was different, perhaps it was in his bearing, or his attitude. That and the sense he'd grown in more than one sense of the word. It was curious really. The fact he knew his name pointed to an actual meeting in the future. Impossible to really know just how well that meeting had gone, but the fact that Riku had possession of one of the coats caused him to at least entertain the idea that things might have went well. The earlier remark though tempered things though and kept him from jumping to any conclusions however.

"I take it we've actually met before now in your timeline." Best really to deal with the possible timeline confusion. Inasmuch as he might like to possibly take advantage of it, he might also end up caught up tangled in a web which might end up leading to unpleasant consequences.

It's the fate of those who never had proper teachers; one could blame Xehanort from stealing his away from him before anything could be helped. Though he did have to admit that it was curious that unlike trying to tear into his confidence like the last time (for him), it was actually vaguely civil. Yet it left a sour taste in his mouth, just as the scent of any Nobody did.

"Once or twice," he'll admit. The nature of those two meetings, however, he would keep to himself. Mistrust and shadows went hand-in-hand, and while he wore it proud for the sake of his sanity, Riku detested it all.

"I see." While it would be nice to know if those meetings had went well or not, it perhaps wouldn't be the wisest course to possibly end up aggravating the boy further by dragging out possibly bad feelings from the past. So best to leave the that subject alone.

"So what are you doing with yourself here? Or is that a secret as well?"

That could end up potentially problematic for him, that much is certain. Thus diverting the question to another was probably the better choice of the time being. A few points for that, yet what exactly that meant he wouldn't divulge in just yet.

"The same as everyone else," he admitted casually with a faint shrug. "Finding things to pass the time those in charge decide to force us to stay here." And keeping an eye on those who are more troublesome then they're worth. Yet that remains unsaid, even in body language.

"I've heard there's a possible way out currently being build in the city, an elevator? You know anything about that?" Because he's actually somewhat curious about that and since Riku is currently being civil, even if he's not exactly talkative, it doesn't mean he can't attempt to press the boy for more information.

"Other than it's nearly complete? Not very much." His head pointed toward the sight where he worked when not on patrols, not really even thinking about it in doing so. Nor at how easy it was to lie.

"Yet who knows what lies there at the surface of this world?" Though he wouldn't deny being... curious, and rather anxious about getting away from this infernal heartbeat beneath them. It was so loud, and it is slowly driving him mad. Light above, this was giving him too many flashbacks...!
