Finally, those fishy freaks had seemed to have disappeared. Or, eventually, the folks round Vatheon had killed them off. Faye had considered helping out but, then again, what a waste of ammo,

He had heard the woman's bitching and yelling for a while now but mostly ignored it. Until, of course, she was knocking at his door and it was only then that the voice registered. Setting down his cup of tea, he left his desk. Unlike Faye, his pajamas were a bit more modest. A gray hoodie and a pair of black shorts that just went a little above his knees. And some ankle-socks. He padded across the floor, looking over his shoulder to see if Kaori had awoken but of course- the dark apartment remained silent ( ... )

Faye strode comfortably into the flat - likely Izaya looked very cute indeed, but he could have been naked and her reaction would have been entirely the same. "Did you make the dumplings?" Given that Larmline apartments were all similar, if not the same, Faye walked herself into his kitchen and began a hunt for them, peering into the fridge.
Really, it was good for her to know that there was someone who was around at that time of the morning - and, more to the point, that Izaya was never far away from her. It was comforting, but be damned if she would ever suggest such a thing.

Faye was keen for these dumplings, and she took him as directed and fumbled about a bit for some chopsticks. Tilting her head back to her host, she gave a soft smile, "Wanna heat them up for me?"
Half-naked? Faye shook her head, almost like she was disappointed with his comment. "I could be a lot more half-naked if I wanted to be..." But her amused smile faded slightly and she adjusted a strap on her shoulder, "I slept for a while... then those fish things came."

"Sure thing," he said, grinning as he took the dumplings from her. He covered them over with a napkin so the moisture would be kept in and popped them into the microwave. They'd taste just fine.
"Sure you could but I'm used to prudes in Vatheon so," he said, shrugging, "I think it's your natural endowments that make you appear more under-dressed than you actually are. Which isn't a bad thing, by the way. You're a lovely woman," he said. Faye was one woman he was perfectly comfortable with when it came to light flirting. She wasn't an idiot. She knew he meant nothing by it- or at least he figured as much. Besides, there was nothing wrong with informing ( ... )

She leaned back casually on the counter and, at the word 'endowments', she glanced down at her breasts, giving something between a shrug and a grin. Well, she couldn't ignore that they were there. "Thanks, Izaya. Just a pity they're wasted on you."
Faye was more than happy to follow after Izaya, "Mmm! Those smell so good." She flopped herself down at the dining table, twirling the chopsticks she'd taken from his kitchen in her fingers. She waited for the drinks list to continue and paused, raising an eyebrow, "Milk the toughest thing you got? Just gimme some tea."

He snorted at her statement and flicked his wrist dismissively at Faye. "You'll put them to good use one day, I'm sure. Even if Vatheon is congested with prudes up to the brim."
"Toughest? Milk is tough?" He wrinkled his nose up at that. "I don't drink alcohol really. Maybe wine though.." He trailed off and left to fetch some tea. Once he was back at the table, he set the hot tea down in front of her and took a seat across from her. "I needed a break anyway," he said, stretching his arms above his head before curling his arms over the tabletop and propped his head into his arms.
"Where've you been?"

Faye leaned against the table, her head tilting ever so slightly at his comment. "No alcohol? How come?" Oh yes, there are notions of getting very drunk with Izaya going on in her head. Definitely.
She lifted the cup carefully, pouting her lips to lightly blow across the top. "You're too busy for your own good, kid." As for her? She raised a shoulder in a shrug as she took a small sip, "My apartment. Where's all the fun at?"

That and he figured Faye would forget anything said anyway. Not many drunkards seem to recall details as far as he was concerned.
"Nah, I like it. Wait- kid? Hehe. How old are you, Faye?" he asked. Although he couldn't deny that he was very flattered to be called a kid. After all, he vowed to be twenty-one forever. "Fun? Tch. No where really. There were some fish monsters a few days ago which were fun to play with for a while but other than that..."

Faye grinned at his question and leaned into the table, looking at him levelly, "How old do you think I am?" Dangerous question, and one she usually only asked if she was looking for an excuse to hit someone.

She finished what was left of the dumplings and twirled the chopsticks between her fingers. "And really, you gotta stop flattering me." Like her ego wasn't big enough? Though she wasn't sure she really minded.

What else did they have in common? Eh- did it really matter to point that out now? Absolutely not. "Tch. Everyone could use with flattering. It really improves your relationship with people," he explained. He glanced at her dumplings then up at Faye, "Did you want anything else? I might have something sweet in the freezer but probably not. I'm not too fond of sweets and neither is Kao-chan."
Reply
"Nothing sweet? So you don't drink, you don't like sweet things. Wow, you boys are living on the edge."

"I like to keep a healthy life style. Besides, I can't help it that I have mature taste," Izaya said rather arrogantly. He had always been proud of his diet. Mostly because it was the exact opposite of Shizuo's and that amused him endlessly and gave him something else to make fun of Shizuo for.

"Mature taste?" Faye raised a brow at him before sitting back in her chair, legs stretching out across the floor. "I forget. Yer all high society with your secretary and stuff."
