Alright, this was certainly new. After waking up spread all over the floor and soaking wet, Inque's natural inclination was to assume she'd been washed away again. With no one in the immediate vicinity, no doubt due to her after-hours arrival, she'd hastily slid across the ground to hide in the shadows of a nearby bench until she could get her bearings. It was dark enough, so in theory not even a casual onlooker from one of the many darkened buildings would have noticed the shadows gathering themselves and creeping across the stone in a single mass. Of course, she had yet to notice the fairy floating nearby, glowing a lovely dark shade of violet and significantly hampering her ability to go completely unnoticed. Something vaguely resembling a humanoid head was formed, quietly stretching out from under the bench by way of a growing neck, as Inque scanned the area. Still no one, and more troubling, she appeared to be underwater. In a city that was clearly not her own, let alone from her own time period.
This was bad.
She quickly gathered herself into a puddle again and slinked out from underneath the bench, then launched herself skyward in a geyser to land on a nearby rooftop. The rest of her was already following even before she touched down, though the geyser effect was unlikely to go unnoticed. In her experience, there was always some damned nosy vigilante skulking about when you least wanted their company. And right now was one of those times: she was alone in greatly unfamiliar territory, with no recollection of how she got there or the circumstances that led to her arrival. The last thing she needed was a Batman, the Justice League, or whatever this new city sported in the way of costumed crimefighters. Even ordinary police would be a nuisance at this point. Not wishing to leave a geyser plume behind her every time she relocated, Inque formed herself into a more humanoid figure; devoid of any distinguishing features save for a large, white "eye" that allowed her to see clearly, and a distinctly feminine figure. Of course, now she noticed the fairy that didn't want to leave her alone. It refused to leave after a few wasted swipes, dodging each in turn, which prompted a frustrated Inque to push the matter of dealing with the glowing annoyance to another time. She didn't want to stand around waiting for trouble to arrive, after all.
She took off at a sprint, trying to stick to the shadows and hide behind any structures she could, but how effective those measures would prove to be had yet to be seen...after all, the glowing purple fairy that kept following her probably wasn't helping the "stealth" angle much.
