...excuse me. I couldn't help overhearing...what do you mean this place is flawed?
Reply
The people here are flawed. They keep things to themselves and have secrets they would fight and even die over.
But this isn't a bad thing. This is the same situation I had back where I come from.

...and you think that people should be completely open about everything, do you?

[He has emotion, he just...likes to keep it locked up inside so it doesn't mess with his guardian duties.]

[She eyes him suspiciously again.]
...how do you know about me and James?

[He just stares at her, as if to say "what don't I know about you and James"?]
Reply
Well. I suppose that what made me give in was that I realized that...if I didn't I'd be unhappy. And that's what you mean, right? People withholding things. Causing themselves pain. And others.
[This guy is very, very strange, and she doesn't much like that stare. Like he's looking right into her.]
...who are you?
Reply
[He leans back on his bench, his expression unchanging.]
I am Jacob.
[Such a descriptive answer.]
Reply
Jacob. Are you telepathic or something? How do you know so much about me?
Reply
[He's silent for a moment as he thinks of a way to explain it.] It's part of my job.
