That's when he had gotten his idea.]
Ah--
[His voice was indistinguishable as he called out subtly. It was to be just enough to lure Tsukasa in. Just enough.]
Reply
Nakura... where are you? You shouldn't be here... it's dangerous...
Reply
No he didn't. He smirked and slid through the dark- moving across the ground light and easy. His jacket rustled behind him, making evident moving sounds. Which was the point.
He made sure to run across the area to be directly in front of Tsukasa by a few yards. He drove his foot into the ground and it cracked the wood, splintering it up. A crack broke through the rest of the flooring, heading straight for Tsukasa until it eventually stopped short just a few feet in front of him. Izaya smirked and jumped backwards onto a fallen stone pillar off of the ground.]

Nakura? Please, answer me...
[He took a step forward, and then yelped as his foot drove through the already-weakened floor.]
Dammit...
[He pulled, trying to free his foot from the wood around it.] Come on...

And the mouse got caught in the trap.
He started to laugh openly. It was fine. He had Tsukasa Exactly where he wanted him.]
Nya~. Tsukasa!! Do you really lack the common sense of walking through such a sketchy place like this?
[Slowly, he emerged from the shadows and into plain sight.]
Then again...Haven't you ever been told that it's pretty dangerous to talk to strangers? Oh...Tsukasa...[He tilts his head.] You seem to be stuck.
Reply
... You. What are you doing here?
[Dammit dammit dammit he needed to get his leg free... he started pulling and pushing at the wood, trying to get it to give enough that he could pull his leg out, but it only seemed to drive his foot in further.]

Just meeting with a sweet boy I talked with through some letters.
[He walked around behind Tsukasa by a few feet and stomped on the wood again. With a groan, it gave away towards Tsukasa, more cracks appearing around him. The floor was becoming more and more fragile. Enough that Izaya wandered off to firmer ground and his own safety.]
Nakura, my father drank a lot!~ We didn't get along at all. Dear Nakura, you're so nice and not rude and not selfish...
Boy, you're so considerate! I've never been spoken to so kindly before in my life.
[He walked as he spoke, using his hands to emphasis the stress of the situation. As he finished speaking, he turned abruptly to stare at Tsukasa's face.]Playing the role of the protagonist isn't always the ideal way to die. Now, normally I would've invited you to a sky scraper for a classic suicide attempt. However, this church collapsed just in time ( ... )

[But how else could he know these things? He's been backstabbed and betrayed again.]
[It's several moments before he can breathe once more.]
She was never real…
[And now this jerk knows more than he should, and Tsukasa is stuck in floor, and it keeps cracking and creaking in a threatening manner…]
Dammit…
[He tucks his staff under his arm and tries to pull his leg out slowly, but the floor cracks and crumbles away into a large hole, leaving Tsukasa using his staff to bridge the gap and help hold him up by his arms while his legs dangle below.]
Fuck!
Reply
She? [He snorted.] Psh. If I had wanted to be a woman to you...[He trailed off, not revealing his other persona. No need to.]
My, Tsukasa, I never took you one for swearing.
[He walked over towards where Tsukasa was currently hanging and stared down at him, smirking as he crouched down.]
I mean really, is that any way to talk in front of a lady?
[He stands back up and lifts his foot up. He brings it down hard onto Tsukasa's hand and starts to twist his shoe into his flesh.]
What are you more concerned with right now? I'm curious. Your own death or the matter of betrayal? Hmm.
Reply
[Ow. The pain snapped him away from his thoughts for the moment. He looked up at Izaya and glared.]
I've... died before. It's not so bad...
[At least he'd get away from this guy. Stupid, stupid Tsukasa.]
Why did I ever think I could run back to the outside world?
[Maybe 'she' had been right. Maybe there really was no reason for him to keep trying to escape his situations. Maybe he deserved it. The real world was cold and cruel and why did he think it was a better place?]
Reply
That's very poetic of you, Tsukasa. I'm not really trying to kill you though. I'm not that kinda guy.
[He shrugs.] But if this floor were to accidentally cave in then I'm useless to save you.
But while you're here...I might as well have some fun.
[He leans down and whips out his flick blade. He tilts it under Tsukasa's face and uses it to lift his head up so that he can see his face. It's not to cut Tsukasa but he could very easily if he wants.
Instead, he grins at him. Almost peacefully.]
You look so sad. Tell me, do you feel alone right now?
Reply
[His fingers dig in a bit as the wood creaks under both of their weights.]
... Always, not like it matters to you, I bet.

Tsukasa. [He takes the knife away from his face and closes it.] You're right.
You're right. I don't really care if you're alone or not. Aren't we all alone in this world~? After all, humans are cruel, cruel creatures. We can relate on the level where we both know that, can't we? Look at your face. It looks like I just snapped the neck of a new puppy in front of you.
Hehehe. Ah..But Tsukasa.
[He leaps off from the area and stands to the side.]Every living creature on this earth dies alone. That's a quote from a movie from where I come from. It's a pretty good film and I'd say that line is pretty right. Whether or not you believe in a god or an afterlife, we all have to face the inevitable fact that we're truly alone in this world and after it. It could be considered an apathetic perspective or just an honest one. I like to think of it as the later. You' ( ... )

[The others would move on if he died, wouldn't they? But he can't die… not yet… he's still got things he wants to d. If he has to live for anything, he at least wants to live long enough to see him get what he deserves.]
I still have… things I need to do. And I know now that I can do them.
[He eyes the distance that Izaya is at. Too far for him to reach out and drag him with him… and he's not that strong anyway.]
Maybe if you cleaned up your behavior… but I doubt you will. You sneak around like a creep, and you take pleasure in messing with people.
[He's quiet for a moment.]
I'm not sure you're even human. You seem more like a monster to me.
Reply
Really? Well I'm glad that this situation has seemed to enlighten you. Funny how the edge of death speaks to people.
[He turns his back to Tsukasa, looking up now at the dark ocean.]
You're so hurtful, Tsukasa. I don't sneak around whatsoever. And some people here seem to really like me even.
[Monster?......
He snaps his head to the side and smirks dangerously. In that moment, he really doesn't look human. His eyes slit and his mouth widens cruelly.]
Me? A monster?
[He starts to laugh, and this time, it's hysterically.]
Me! A monster!!
[He spins around and prances over to where Tsukasa is. He leers down at him like a wolf might a dying lamb.]
I'm so flattered, Tsukasa. I am so flattered!!
[He's yelling now, and his eyes look too distant from the situation.]
Monster?
[And he moves so quickly that it really is plausible that he's not human because suddenly, he's got a grip on the staff outside of Tsukasa's hands and he has his face right in Tsukasa's.]
I've met monsters before. [He jerks the staff ( ... )
Reply
[He grips his staff tightly, and he tries not to shake under that gaze. He can't show weakness here. Guys like him feed on that sort of stuff. He's seen it enough from his father and from other people his age and he can't. He won't.]
[He recoils a bit from the yelling and suddenly Izaya is in his face and he doesn't know what to do. He just wants to curl up and go away, but he can't because that would be letting Izaya win and he can't do that. He can't keep running away. He has to fight back but he doesn't know how.]
[And then he's asked a question, and he doesn't say anything, just thrashes and tries to pull away, because he can't think of any other way.]
[And if he dies like this -]
[- he'll come back, right? That's what he was told-]
[-but he doesn't know-]
[- but he can't stand this any longer and something has to give, and it's probably going to be the wood and he can't bring himself to care anymore.]
