Because, before Suzaku approached, Lelouch had been entertaining thoughts of leaving another message with a threat ('if you don't hurry, I'll Geass a group of people to tear each other's throats out.'); nothing empty, nothing that one could shake a stick at. He would have really done it.
Probably. The people here are nice, perhaps too nice at best; they remind him of a seventeen-year-old military boy with bright, unassuming eyes, and fake smiles, but very real emotions. A boy that he, himself, ending up having to ruin for the greater good. For Nunnally. For the world. ("I'm ( ... )

That's more than enough half-humbleness for his not-lifetime.
He wishes he brought those pain pills with him. The one he took before this had yet to kick in- and Lelouch never liked waiting. When he wanted results, he wanted them then and there. Like when he wanted the Knight of Rounds members crushed for their rebellion (and didn't have the FLEIJA yet to make it happen); there Suzaku was, ready to carry out the Emperor's will. A sharp knife to carry out the task of cutting down his foes.
Thinking of that only leads to thoughts of that ( ( ... )
