They all look so weird--but then again, so does she. A Curse, that's what everyone was saying--
Well, it's almost over now.

I'd thought you'd be out there with everyone else, dear. Fancy seeing you here.

...too many people, too much noise.
Really just not her idea of fun. :|
And why aren't you there, doctor?

I frequent this alley for the very purpose of it.
[ A slight headtilt though as he takes another drag, making sure to turn his head upward before exhaling. ]
I hope you don't mind.

Not that she feels like she's getting a choice in the matter, but she shrugs. It's his body. And she has control of hers; if she really wants, she can move.
You're here often, then? It seems a little out of the way.

[ Another drag and he leans against the wall slightly. ]
I'd expected you to be out and about... though if I may ask, how has the city been treating you?

She looks down at her strange outfit contemplatively. She remembers waking up one day in that outfit; and though she does not like the brighter colors, she at least appreciates that it's a good outfit for her dancing.
I've been like this the whole time. Weird bars and words floating around my head, just like that fairy creature. I'm assuming this must be one of those curses you were telling me about...
Yes, indeed, doctor, Rue paid attention to your explanations. And now she's studying you.
Are you...unaffected?

[ Another drag on the cigarette. ]
It's taken quite the toll on me.

[ So that's what causes it. She lets out a sigh, remembering that she indeed touched that coral, just once out of curiosity. It seemed to radiate energy that reminded her a bit of her precious Mytho's heart shards...but now she kind of regrets it. Oh well.
It's almost over, right? Just a little longer. She looks at Muraki, so comfortable with that cigarette in his hand... ]
It doesn't seem to bother you, though.

[ A slight laugh as he took one last drag and ground the cigarette out with his heel after. ]
The nicotine helps.

[ She watches as the cigarette falls to the ground and he stomps it out. She's not actually sure what the term means, so she's kind of just assuming it refers to the cigarette itself, for the moment, not bothering to ask. ]
...it doesn't smell like it would.

[ He glances over at her, straightening his jacket. ]
Best you stay away from them.

It looks like there's going to be some sort of fighting going on.

[ There is a pause as he glances out of the alleyway. ]
As well as a festival. Have you any interest in these things?

[ ...she thinks back on the fire festival. She had looked forward to it so, yet when Mytho showed all that emotion--it was so unlike him. It scared her. She wonders if it would be better this time; in a strange place where nobody knows who she is, just another face in the crowd. ]
Well. I suppose I don't really know. Did you want to join them, doctor?
[ She watches as the people pile in; some to watch the fights and, she supposes, some to dance and play at the festival. Hmmm. ]
