[Having been given the day off from training due to a botched trick that left their ankle just this side of sprained, Akito decides to go to the park for a change and have a picnic with the ducks

...Oi. Is this yours?

[There's a very gruff, slightly familiar, long-haired man holding out your sketchbook-thing to you, Akito.]

Eh?

[He's only mildly startled by the interruption - he had heard someone nearby, but just wasn't expecting to be spoken to. He is, however, surprised to see his notebook in someone else's hands, and quickly picks up his bag to check if his is still there or not.]

...Un! Yeah, I think that it's mine.

Here.

[Kanda just hands it over.]

...It's been awhile.

Ah, thanks.

[Akito perches on his knees so he can reach his proffered notebook without too much trouble, then quickly sits back down and flips through the pages. He seems surprised by this person's greeting - tries to place where they would know each other from.]

Um.. Have we met before? I don't remember.

Awhile ago.

[He doesn't blame the other for not remembering. It was quite awhile ago.]

Oh..

[He supposes he probably should have guessed that himself, but it never hurts to get confirmation. Akito holds out another bit of cracker for a duck to eat, keeping his hand steady so it will eat it right out of his hand.]

How did you know it was mine?

Guessed.

[There's really nothing more to it. He simply guessed it belonged to the only other foreigner out here.]

Oh. Well thanks again, I guess - I would have really missed it when I went back to my room.

[And he's distracted here by a duck finally deciding that the food is worth the risk of getting close to him. It's hard not to giggle with a duck bill tickling your palm.]

[He shrugs and turns to walk away.]

[While he doesn't particularly care one way or another if this person stays, there's one thing bothering him enough to stop him from leaving - at least for the moment.]

[He only really pauses to see if Akito has something else to say.]

[He doesn't know if Kanda knows his name already or not, but decides he may as well offer it.]

[Having nothing else really to say, Akito begins to pick apart his sandwich to feed to the ducks as well. They seem to enjoy it more than he would have, and he figures he or Agito will just make some ramen again later instead. +w+]
