[It'd been a few days since he was here. He's a bit dirty, and he hasn't eaten or slept since he left. But he hasn't really noticed yet--his own thoughts had kept such menial things out of his mind. But he thought-- he was pretty sure now, anyway-- that he'd finally found his way. Found some conclusion that he could live with.]
[And found his way home. Because though he'll probably never admit it to the more Order-bound members of this city, House One in the Coral Corral had become home. The home he never thought he'd be able to make for himself. Somewhere he belonged. A place to call his own, if you would. Life here might've been boring and menial, and maybe some part of him was worried about what was going on at his own world-- but especially now, that he knew-- knew what would happen, he felt absolutely no guilt in wanting to stay here. Some part of him had let go of that place, during his time in the forest.]
[He didn't want to go back. It wasn't that he was even running away from it-- if he were to go back now, he'd fight his way through all the shit that was going to happen, with no hesitation whatsoever. But, he didn't want to.]
And really, who would? Tch...
[In the end, what he wanted was immaterial and he knew it. So he stood there, in front of his own front door, and pressed a hand on the patterned surface, not knocking or ringing the doorbell, but just standing there. Registering probably for the first time that he called this place his home, and wouldn't change it for anything.]
[And a bit too awkward to just walk right in-- not after he fled out the door on Allen like that. What would he... even say? What was there to say? Kanda stared at the door, trying to come up with an answer. And coming up blank, of course.]
