After hearing about the dinosaurs I was expecting something a little more threatening.

I suspect the dinosaurs and that degree of danger were rare occurrences. Even the locals were killed . . .

The curses are supposedly random. [Perhaps level of danger wasn't a factor for the coral. He'll spend awhile analyzing that.]

How long have you been here?

That seems to be the case.

. . . A little over three months. Not very long, but long enough to understand the basic workings of Vatheon.

That would depend on what you're looking for.

Besides the regular intake of foreigners, very little is repeated on a consistent basis.

In this case, it seems to be on a monthly interval. As for the curses, they're farther apart.

Considering the diversity of the foreigner population, it looks that way.

How often do those with ill intentions arrive?

[obsequience]

I've yet to encounter anyone obviously ill-intentioned. However, I don't doubt that there are at least several.
