[Since the moment he found out what the bubbles broadcast, Hubert has been cooped up in "his" place of residence for paranoia that the foreigners and the locals alike might breach his privacy. On top of that, Mother's Day left him feeling a little numb. And ( Read more... )

So the curse hit you? [He was lucky.]

. . . Yes. Unfortunately. It looks like you've remained unaffected.

It looks that way. [...]

After hearing about the dinosaurs I was expecting something a little more threatening.

( This place itself is a -- )

I suspect the dinosaurs and that degree of danger were rare occurrences. Even the locals were killed . . .

The curses are supposedly random. [Perhaps level of danger wasn't a factor for the coral. He'll spend awhile analyzing that.]

How long have you been here?

That seems to be the case.

. . . A little over three months. Not very long, but long enough to understand the basic workings of Vatheon.

What have you noticed in those three months?

And the consistency itself?

In this case, it seems to be on a monthly interval. As for the curses, they're farther apart.

I see. Are the residents themselves selected at random?

obsequience May 13 2011, 22:38:01 UTC
Considering the diversity of the foreigner population, it looks that way.

How often do those with ill intentions arrive?

obsequience May 13 2011, 23:08:07 UTC
I've yet to encounter anyone obviously ill-intentioned. However, I don't doubt that there are at least several.
