The doctor had avoided going out in the daytime due to the sheer amount of people after his neck and decided after hours was the best time to get around. This evening found him in the library, browsing the shelves for something interesting to pass the time. The last time he'd picked up a good book, he wasn't sure. Hardly any free time on his hands. Perusing several books in the history section, he lifts his head, hearing someone else in the premises. This caused him a measure of tension as he set the book down and slipped silently behind a nearby bookshelf. Much like a tiger stalking his prey, he moved between shelves and finally reached the source of the sound. His guard was lowered and his expression softened the moment he caught sight of Adrian muttering to himself and seemingly lost in a children's book. Interesting.
"Romanticized?" asked the doctor with a soft chuckle as he stepped out from behind his rather poor sneaking spot. "Certainly, my prince hasn't seen anything by Anne Rice, has he...?"
He was startled at the sound of another's voice and turned to meet it, only to see that it was the gentle Doctor. Adrian smiled (whilst quietly shelving the children's book her had been browsing).
"Muraki, what a pleasant surprise! Good evening." A moment's pause as he considered the name "Hm... Anne Rice? No, I... do not recognise the name I'm afraid."
"And a pleasant evening to yourself, my prince." There is a small smirk doctor's lips as he pushes his glasses up. His manner is observant, half curious and half amused. He wasn't expecting Adrian in this particular area of the library, certainly but he was grateful for the dhampire's company. Better him than someone he'd recently made enemies with.
"A good read every now and then but yes, rather romanticized." he replies with a small smirk. "And what is keeping the young master preoccupied tonight?"
"Well, I fancied a little walk myself and ended up here, I do not know how, but I did." Strange, Adrian felt quite comfortable talking to Muraki, he sensed something oddly gentle about the man. He couldn't place what or why that was though. "And now here, I wonder how I could have overlooked this place. Libraries are really quite magical places, don't you think?"
"Indeed. It seems quite magical when one considers how much time one can spend lost in them." the doctor replied, a rather nostalgic look on his face. As a child, he'd rather enjoyed reading and regretted the fact that he had precious little time to return to the habit in his older years. Med school. Whoadthunk?
"My prince was perhaps drawn to the books?" he adds, tilting his head slightly as he stepped closer to the dhampire. "And enjoys reading, I'd wager?"

Adrian isn't threatened by Muraki in the slightest, no, in fact he finds himself enjoying his company very much these days.
"I certainly do, I have always enjoyed reading. Sometimes I find myself lost in the stories I read, often thinking of the characters and how I love them, or love to hate them sometimes, hmhm..."
D: I'm sorry too, bb... xblood_lustingDecember 6 2010, 12:57:37 UTC
The doctor managed a small thoughtful smile as he tilted his head to the side, studying Adrian. He pushes his glasses up, nodding in agreement. There was indeed quite a charm when it came to a rather well written piece of literature.
"Any title in particular that comes to mind? Anything you've enjoyed recently?" he pressed further, resting his head on his hand.
