Comment notification problems

Thanks for the info! I sent feedback to Hotmail. Now we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I should do that too. I already changed my email address for LJ (I use my gmail as a secondary address) at least temporarily. What a bother.

I wouldn't want to change from hotmail since I have my messenger registered to that address too and every time I get new comment notification to hotmail the messenger gives me a popup notification (+sound)

Yup, that bugged me too... : / I use Trillian with AIM and MSN and it's supposed to alert me about new emails as well, but for some reason it hasn't worked with gmail so far.

Me too. All due notifications do come in my LJ message center though... But yeah, why would the email providers block a certain IP address sometimes but not at other times? Hmm.

My friend Randy (invertedsky.livejournal.com) has been having and dealing with Lj notification issues off and on for years... it wouldn't actually surprise me if it was an Lj issue, considering some of the stuff that's happened to him.

That's odd, they should have done something about it by now! But good to know, can't blame the email providers just because LJ said so.
