HAPPY BIRTHDAY
ilye_aru !!!!!
Happy birthday dear, and I got the presents here for you. ;A;
Doppelgängers
Sometimes, on the very rare occasions, Manuel finds that the calmness and maturity level within his only child is way beyond how he’d ever imagined or expected.
Just like now.
“What is this, Álvarito?”
“I don't know, Mamá, but it reminds me of you.”
The child says as he holds the white, soft-looking round-shape thing up, and Manuel can see a pair of eyes, brown just like his, stares right back at him with something that resembles his usual expression toward others.
“Oh and this one,” not really focusing on the shock in his mother’s eyes, Álvaro turns around, picks something else up from the floor and hands it to Manuel, “I think it is Papá.”
Surely it is. Manuel can tell that even without seeing that signature-like bandage below the eye area, just those dark browns full of smile are good enough to be recognized.
“Where did you find them?”
“They are just there when I woke up from my siesta,” the sound of glass breaking causes the child to pause, then backs up few steps when another white, rather small-size thing too fast to see the shape bounces right into his arms, “and this one must be Vina, Mamá, it acts just like her.”
I see, and she broke my windows just like her mother. Manuel says silently to himself as he pets Álvaro over the head. Please, God, don’t sent her parents over too.
“Where is you then? If we have Vina here.” Manuel asks out of curiosity, and then sees Álvaro points at the floor behind his feet.
And there it is. Apparently the white doppelgänger of his child, just like it’s real self, has been quietly following him around the house for a while.
