Mex/Chi, recent news related whatsoever.
I just want to write them in a different way. Okay, it is time to do some hard-corded studying lol
Shadows
The present of someone that does not belong to the house is there when Pedro opens the door though he barely noticed.
Maybe it is because of that the medication that Mexican has been taking finally is kicked in, since he often feels a sense of numbness after taking in what should not have been in the system but has somehow became necessary.
Or maybe he is just distracted by the sound of laughter. Outside children are laughing and it reminds him of the old days, when things were more peaceful than the lives now.
The Mexican stares at those bottles of medications that sit on the counter and tries not to sigh.
He just wants a day without worrying over things, just like the old days.
And right now he can hardly closes his eyes without having some of the most horrid images resurface. He has to cancel things, stop his people from doing things they like, all for the useless battles that he is trying so hard to fight.
Is life really that hard? Or…
A tap on the hard surface drags Pedro’s attention back and he sees Manuel sitting on his favor chair, a book in the hand showing that he has been present for a good while.
“Manuel,”
“I thought about calling first, but don’t feel like talking to the voicemail,” Manuel says as he rises from the chair, and, for some reason that Pedro cannot answer, he already looks like he belongs to this room though they haven’t seen each other for more than few days, “you don’t mind, do you?”
“Too late to say anything in the beginning,” Pedro sighs and feels the coldness of the Chilean’s hands and wonders how did he even survive the days without him, “I’m glad that you’re here, I really am.”
“Silly, didn’t we promise over this before?”
Manuel opens his arms so the Mexican can relax himself in them, even if it is just a little, and closes his eyes to pretend not seeing that the freshly wrapped bandage over Pedro’s arm is again stained by unstopping blood.
