The movies I like best are those that have an almost hypnotic hold over me. For those 2-3 hours my brain stops normal thought. I am completely consumed by whats happening on screen. I know that not everyone feels this way about movies ...... but I do. I really liked Don. Liked it so much that I dont remember being "aware" for significant blocks of time while I was watching it. I will have to watch it again :) The music, in true S-E-L style, grew on me slowly. The theatre did not have a very good sound system methinks ...... so I came away feeling the songs werent that great. But now when I listen to them as I go about the days tasks, I like them ! This is the actual songs I am talking about ..... the background score on the other hand is really catchy (loved it immediately) and adds to the slick, stylish feel of the movie. Shahrukh is a natural at his role ........ so deliciously dangerous :)

I feel happy today. Amazing what a Hindi movie can do for a lonely Indian who is thousands of miles away from home, family and the chatter, laughs & bright lights of Deepavali.
