Otters!

Okay, this is why I love Florida!  This morning on my walk I saw a family of otters (three of them) cross the street to get from one pond to another.  They stopped to look at me when I halted to look at them, but nothing keeps otters immobile long and they soon continued on their merry way.  Too cute!  I'm determined to get one of those cameras ( Read more... )

Some cellphone cameras take great pictures, and I'm never without my cellphone. Too bad we don't have otters here. Just ducks. :)

I'm still backward enough that I don't know how to get the pics off my cell phone. Plus, I'm enough of a photography geek that cell cameras aren't sufficiently satisfying to me. I know, I'm so last century.

What a great photo opp that was.

I must have dozens of perfect shots that I've missed because I left my camera at home or it took too long to pull it out of the bag. If you get that small camera, let me know how it works. :o)

Always treat otters as you would have them treat you.

I've lived in Florida for 15 years and have yet to see my first otter. :(

This is actually my second sighting. The first time they were in the water and I was staring at the spot because it looked like a sea serpent with the coils coming up out of the water, but it was the family of otters, one following the other, arching up out of the water as they sped along. They're amazing.
