Kalinda being observant about Alicia's kids, and getting on well with them in general is one of my fave things in fic. Because I think she actually does deal with them well on the show to the point where I think it's an argument in favour of Kalicia. Unlike Will... (poor bastard)

Thanks! It's funny because I think K is so clueless at how to talk to kids she almost *doesn't* talk to them like kids - she just talks to them like she talks to anyone else, which of course is what teens respond to, rather than poor Will's "Hey Tiger, how was school" cool step-dad routine.

Yeah! That's kind of what I mean... She had actual direct 'don't bullshit me' conversations with Zach and Shannon in Parenting Made Easy and then a rather sincere hedging-Kalinda one when it was getting personal with Grace.

I love the way your write snarky/warm/so-in-love Kalinda. Desperate Housewives and Crystal Meth, indeed. HA.

It made me a little sad in the beginning that A still did not get that K is in it for real, but I also knew that you would find a way to fix it. And you did-- thank you!

Oh, how I love this little story. You pack quite a lot into a few words and it's quite effective.
I'm glad I stumbled across your LJ stories, since I don't really see your stuff posted on fiction archives.
Though my preference is for long, multi-chapter stories, there just really are only a few good ones in the Kalicia world and, really, quality over quantity is best in the end. But of course if you ever were to want to write something longer that would be very welcome.
